Defining Bushcraft – Video From Woodsmoke

One of the morning sessions at Woodsmoke was focused on defining bushcraft. There was a lively discussion as to whether it should be done at all, and if so, how to do it in a manner that would not exclusionary. After about an hour of discussion, we shot this video to explain the ideas to those who weren’t in attendance.

Well thought out Tim. I’m glad you guys took the time to do this. It was past time to put a definition to what we do. I found myself to be a combination of all three.

Thanks, Dave. Although I was part of the discussion, in the video I was just the spokesperson. The diagram came about as a discussion Stuart Goring and Mors Kochanski had a while back.
