The date and time for our Earth Skills Symposium has been set. It will be on November 4th from 10 AM until 1 PM at our home base; 267 Camp School Road in Wolfeboro. The symposium is the final event of the Earth Skills Semester Program where students present their research and put their work on display. We also have an open house with a tour of the variety of different shelters we’ve build, a demo of fire by friction, a discussion about our composting system, and more.
This year, the topics the students have chosen for their presentations include the art of weaving snowshoes and emergency snowshoe construction, as well as a general presentation on wilderness survival.
The symposium is free and open to all ages. Get a copy of the flier here.
