Extended Bushcraft Expeditions For Alumni

We’re organizing a yearly trip for alumni of our bushcraft semester courses.  Our goal is to create avenues for continuing education and group learning.  The 2009 trip is still in the planning stages, but will likely take place on the Penobscot and Allagash rivers and be 2-3 weeks long.

More of a practicum than a course, it builds and puts into practice skills that people have already learned in a dynamic way while at the same time gaining real-world experience and having fun.    Our students and alumni are important to us, and our goal is to continue to be of service to them after a course is over.

The way we’re thinking of running the alumni trips is to have people cover their own costs, evenly distribute the food costs among the participants, and have it be unofficially led by a current instructor or teaching assistant.  If you’re an alumnus and are interested, let us know.
