I’ll be presenting at the Snow Walker’s Rendezvous at Hulbert Outdoor Center in Vermont again this year. The rendezvous takes place November 10-12 and is a great opportunity to learn from people who spend most, or all, of the winter in the northern bush. David and Anna Bosum, from the Cree community of Oujé-Bougoumou, Quebec, will be presenting this year on Cree culture and bush skills. I spent a week with David and Anna a few winters back and can’t recommend them highly enough. Other workshops will be put on by my good friend Don Kevilus, and by Kevin Slater and Polly Mahoney of Mahoosuc Guide Service, as well as a bunch of other talented people. If you’re interested in upgrading your winter bush skills, don’t miss this event.
My workshop topic hasn’t been nailed down yet, but as soon as it is I’ll post the information here.
