Video Intern Position Announced – Plan, Shoot And Edit Documentary-Style Films

This morning I posted information on our video intern position on our site. Here’s the info:

Video Intern – Plan, Shoot And Edit Documentary-Style Films

Dates and Positions Available: We’re currently seeking one person for the fall semester. The deadline for applications is June 1st. There will be future opportunities for the winter, spring and summer semesters.

About: The right person should be an experienced videographer, film student, or someone who has a strong interest and desire to learn the art of filmmaking. You’ll be participating in our bushcraft programs, filming and editing daily, and working with us to document what transpires in our semester courses. You’ll take that footage and edit it into short educational and promotional films for the internet as well as a culminating semester documentary. In exchange for your work, you’ll participate in our semester experience free of charge and have free room and (some) board. Experience is preferred, but we will train the right person.

Duties: Planning, shooting and editing documentary-style digital video, getting video on the internet. Shooting daily video, making weekly compilations, and ultimately making a documentary about the semester. You’ll also travel with us by canoe on the rivers and lakes of Maine and on foot in the mountains of New Hampshire.

Equipment: Our cameras, sound, accessories, editing software and computers.

Training: We have professional training media that will get you up to speed quickly in both filming and editing. You’ll jump right in getting hands-on experience. We use professional gear and sound equipment and edit using Final Cut Studio. You’ll gain valuable skills and experience, make a documentary and put together an amazing demo reel.

How To Apply: Contact us by email or phone to discuss.
