Wilderness Bushcraft Semester Dates Changed For 2019

In 2019 we’re changing the dates for the Wilderness Bushcraft Semester courses that have been on the web for a few months. After lots of discussions in the guide shack about how to provide the best courses with the fewest drawbacks, we’re shifting a few things around.

The spring semester will run from April 28 to June 28, 2019. If you’ve been following this blog since last April, you saw that the first 2-3 weeks of this spring’s course was a winter course with lots of remaining snow on the ground. For 2019 we’re going to avoid this and start at the end of April, not the middle.

The fall semester will run from August 11 to October 11. This will allow us to avoid the colder weather at the end of the course, as well as run a cold weather canoe trip using canvas tents and wood stoves, something we’ve been wanting to do for a while.

These dates are live on our Master Calendar.

We’ve got a few more announcements in the works, so stay tuned!
