Although we’ll be adding to it (because no website is ever done, they’re always in process), we’ve got the skeleton of the 2019-2020 Yearlong Immersion Program (YIP) on the web. We’ve got a lot of details to add, but the dates, tuition and general idea for the program is on the YIP page.

In a nutshell, the YIP is a full-time, residential learning program designed to train the next generation of industry leaders in the skills of teaching, guiding and running a successful outdoor business. Along the way candidates will develop their knowledge, skill and experience to a deep level.

The prerequisite is the Wilderness Bushcraft Semester. The course starts on October 24, 2019 and runs through August 8, 2020. Housing is provided throughout the program.

We’ll have an application window in the early summer, opening at the end of June.

This is an immense undertaking, but it’s one I’ve wanted to run for some time. In a world that keeps going shallow, I want to go deep.
