It’s been a busy summer in northern Maine. We’ve run a bunch of courses, as well as gotten out into the North Maine Woods on several occasions to explore. One of my favorite things is to take out young men and introduce them to bushcraft and life in wild places. The photo above was taken deep in the North Maine Woods, featuring two young men on their first camping trip. They learned to canoe, hiked some ridiculously steep mountain trails, learned a bunch of wild edibles, learned to cook over the fire, and had a great time in the woods. The woods life has provided me much pleasure and contentment over the years. Sharing it is something I love to do.

That’s a beautiful campsite!
Wow – sharing the north Maine woods with newcomers to camping… They’re pretty lucky!
