Settling Into A Different Way Of Living | JMB Blog 1933

Open Fire Cooking

The beginning of a bushcraft semester is always marked by a settling in period. Everyone is learning our systems, getting settled with food and shelter, and digging into both the hands-on and academic instruction. It takes time.

By the end of last summer I was pretty burned out with media, social media, shooting video, etc. Yesterday I did my first vlog since last summer, and I feel pretty energized to keep going after such a long break. There is a lot of what we do here that I want to document and share.

For a few years we’ve been numbering our podcast and vlog episodes. I’ve found it is helpful when referring back to a specific episode. I’m going to try it out (numbering) with the blog as well to see how I like it.

Snow again today. Winter keeps hanging on.

Typos, Etc.
Anything that appears to be an error in spelling or grammar is actually the author’s clever use of the vernacular, and as such is not an error, but rather a carefully placed literary device demonstrating prodigious artistic prowess.
