Hall Of Photo-Stealing Shame

People stealing other’s content (text, photos, etc.) is common on the web, although that doesn’t make it alright or any less disrespectful.  Some large companies send threatening letters from lawyers to add a consequence for this act.  Our policy is to identify the site, say that it’s both uncool and illegal, and give them an opportunity to do the right thing and take it down.

Someone sent me this link today to a page titled Ponycow Club Site – Bushcraft:

If you scroll down they’ve got one of our shelter photos displayed with the caption: “Shelter to withstand the cold and rainy weather.”

That photo was from the winter Earth Skills Semester Program in 2004.  The shelter was built by a great guy named Jim.
