New York Times Article on Survival With Only a Knife Mentions Jack Mountain Bushcraft

Last month my friend Tony Nester of Arizona took writer Jonathan Green out on a knife-only outing. Today Jonathan’s article appears in the Escapes section of the New York Times. I liked the article because it touches on Tony’s motivation for teaching and his appreciation for both the land and the skills of those who came before us. We’re mentioned, along with David Cronenwett of Montana, in the Details section listing other instructors around the country who offer this type of experience.

Read the article here.

Note: The print edition was titled “Survival with Only a Knife”, while the online edition is titled “Setting Out Into the Arizona Wilderness With Only a Knife”.
