This weekend is the Snowwalkers Rendezvous in Fairlee VT, an event put on by the Northen Wilderness Travelers Conferences. I’ve spent the last week getting ready. I’ll be presenting on open fire cooking, as well as running a workshop on burn spoon carving. There’s a lot of great presentations and workshops on the schedule for the event, covering everything from making axe handles, the history of snowshoe clubs, and even just sharing stories about expeditions. I’m looking forward to seeing as many of them as I can, there’s such a wealth of knowledge and experience available at events like these. It’s going to be a fun weekend of a shared love of being out on the land in winter. Looking forward to seeing some of you there.
