Brushfire! JMBS Rendezvous Coming In 2019?

We’ve been discussing the possibility of having a small 3-day rendezvous based around bushcraft and traditional wilderness skills at the field school since 2010. But despite a lot of talk, we’ve never hosted the event. A few weeks ago I was talking with some friends about it again, and after an hour discussing the possibilities, it seemed like a good idea.

Is this something you’d be interested in? It would be a great opportunity for Jack Mountain alumni to come back to field school, plan trips, dust off some skills, meet new people, etc.

So is anyone interested?

    Absolutely!

  • Would this be open to the general public or only to alumni? I know it’s a busy time of year for you, but we’d love to have you and any of your students students as out guests at the Puckerbrush Primitive gathering in Columbia, July 19-21.
    All the best,

  • Hi Larry, I’ve wanted to make it down to the Puckerbrush Primitive Gathering for years, but always have a conflict with dates. On a recent course we had a student who had been to the gathering and had rave reviews. It sounds like an amazing event! This thing would be open to the public.
