Gateway Trading Post For Snow & Neally Axes and Mora Knives | JMB Blog 1939

Winter tools; axes, knives and saws.

For years people have asked me if there are decent axes and knives available locally. I can finally say yes. The Gateway Trading Post in Ashland, Maine is 6.5 miles from the field school campus on the way to Ashland.

They carry Snow & Neally Axes and Mora Knives. They also carry a variety of items such as fishing gear, flies and lures, food, and other merchandise. And they are the game registration station for the local area, where people go to have their bears, moose and deer registered and weighed.

So if you lose your axe or knife, or if you are traveling here and don’t have space for such items, you can now get them close by.

Typos, Etc.
Anything that appears to be an error in spelling or grammar is actually the author’s clever use of the vernacular, and as such is not an error, but rather a carefully placed literary device demonstrating prodigious artistic prowess.
