63rd Long-Term Immersion Program and Year 25 Completed

canoes and fall foliage

We just finished up the Maine Guide Medic program, our first wilderness first responder program ever at the field school. Two weeks ago we finished the Wilderness Bushcraft Semester, our 63rd long-term immersion program. It has been a busy year, with field school programs beginning when the snow pulled back in April and going straight through to early November. And now the parking lot is empty and things go from a frenetic pace to super slow.

I have a lot of things to share regarding new programs, scheduling, etc., but for now it’s a lazy Sunday morning, a cup of strong coffee and pulling apart an old tent platform to get it ready for some new decking boards next spring.
