Part of our new lodge-based workshop series, spend a long weekend learning traditional northern forest skills while staying on-site in our modern, comfortable lodge.
The course content draws on the curriculum for our Winter Woodsman course. Topics include snowshoes and snowshoeing, fire lighting, axe use, knife use, knots, ice safety, ice fishing, animal tracking and more.
Group size is limited to 4 people; 2 spots are still available. Included with the course is 3 nights of lodging in our lodge, the Rust Pond Retreat. Food is not included, but the lodge is outfitted with a full modern kitchen. Tuition is $400 and includes 3 nights of lodging.
Schedule
Thursday, 1/21: Arrive between 5 and 8 pm.
Friday, 1/22: 8 am start time. Break for lunch, quit at dark
Saturday, 1/23: 8 am start time. Break for lunch, quit at dark.
Sunday, 1/24: 8 am start time, finish at noon.
Our lodge-based programs are a great introduction to bushcraft. They’re meant to be comfortable, fun and educational.
