How well do those batteries handle -20 to -40?
I brought them on our Boreal Snowshoe Expedition in 2014, and they performed and held the charge without issue for 14 days where every night was colder than 0 Farenheight and most days were around 0 Farenheight. The batteries I have were discontinued a while back, with the closest product available from them currently available being the Sherpa 100. I have no experience with them. A friend had the Sherpa 50 on a 21 day snowshoe trek through the Boundary Waters and said it worked well.
