I’ve been dragging my feet in making this decision, hoping there would be a vaccine or a change or something. But as people are trying to make travel plans for our February programs, it’s time. I’m officially cancelling the 2021 Winter Woodsman and Boreal Snowshoe Expedition due to the covid.

I have been confident we’ve kept people safe during the spring, summer and fall of 2020. Social distancing is simple when everyone has their own tent. I’m not 100% confident about keeping people safe on winter programs due to small, heated spaces in tents and cabins.

Note that we will be running our spring semester as scheduled. This will only impact our winter programs. We will be back in 2022 with a robust winter program of courses and guided snowshoe trips. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
